Description High-specification low-energy office development consisting 24,000m² 5-storey office building located over a double basement car park, configured for multiple tenancy letting on each floor level and a strong focus on sustainability and low-operating costs. Client target of a BREEAM "excellent" rating for sustainability, coupled with a B1 BER under the latest Part L Regulations. HVAC systems include ice-thermal storage for the chilled water, thermal wheel heat-recovery ventilation plant, wood-chip boiler, ground source heat-pump for generation of domestic hot water, rainwater harvesting and energy-efficient daylight-controlled lighting to minimise operating costs. Although proceeding on an air-conditioned solution, the building has been thermally & dynamically modelled, and designed to allow the building to revert to a naturally-ventilated scheme centred around a central atrium.
