60 Apartment Complex
Located on the north side of Dublin City, the Rathborne development consisted of 60 No. 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments, located over five levels. The basement car-park under Block C forms part of a common area and is naturally ventilated.
Block B & C Rathbourne Avenue, Ashtown were originally constructed in 2007. After the downturn in the economy shortly after construction commenced, both blocks were left incomplete and have been remained in this state since. Block B was left more advanced in construction than Block C having 2 No. apartments completed and a number of the central core areas.
Axiseng was commissioned by the client to design and complete all mechanical and electrical installations for the half-built development.
The project was designed to provide a fully comprehensive and operational emergency/escape lighting systems in both blocks as well as the landlord areas and basement carpark, complying with IS 3217:2013 and BS5266 and the latest CIBSE Guide LG12: Emergency Lighting Design Guide.
The upgrade of the development will provide a modernized, comfortable and safe living space for the residents of the Ashtown Community.
